Solo
Catherine has been performing as a solo artist for many years taking the audience through a journey of musical traditions from her childhood mixed with stories and new music. She has been a regular performer at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo where she performed every year with The Royal Military Tattoo Fiddlers and was part of the bold and brilliant Electro Pipes act in 2021 and 2022. This summer she can be found at many festivals across the country performing with both the Monster Ceilidh Band and RE:VUVLA. Visit the gig page for all the details!
RE:VULVA
RE:VULVA features Janice Burns on mandolin, Holly Clarke on vocals and guitar, Cathy Geldard on fiddle and Amy Thatcher on accordion, synth and drum pad. They reclaim the best classic folk tunes and refashion these and their own compositions with a squirt of millennial pop nostalgia. These dazzling talented women present virtuosity, strength, and power in a language that is unashamedly and decidedly female. Each performance promises to be as sparkling as a brand new vagazzle....
